As we continue to transform our business and strive to innovate, we know our customers want to do the right thing for the environment and the people who make our products, so we make it easy for them through our efforts to source ethically and responsibly.
By looking at key topics such as carbon, deforestation, circularity, plastics and packaging we continually seek to strengthen our understanding and mitigation of our environmental impacts. We continue to work with our suppliers in these areas to drive towards further commitments and together mitigate any negative environmental impacts.
We look at Responsible Sourcing by proactively sourcing and procuring products and services both ethically and sustainably, throughout each tier of our supply chain and all supplier partners must complete our responsible sourcing onboarding requirements.
By conducting ESG due diligence, we can together with our suppliers ensure that human rights are a fundamental within our supply chains, ensuring individuals can lead a dignified, healthy lives, free of abuse and violations. As part of ESG due diligence we check environmental requirements, ensuring all suppliers are compliant with local laws and regulations. Understanding our supply chain and sourcing responsibly enables both our business and that of our suppliers, to make positive social and environmental impacts and improve the standard of working conditions in wider global supply chains.
As a business, we are committed to respecting internationally recognised human rights and implement the principles and guidance in the United Nations (UN) Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights as a basis for dialogue and action. We also support the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. Our supplier partners are encouraged to become more transparent in their ESG performance and make commitments to improve their sustainable performance, something that we monitor and aim to support through sharing experience and giving access to monitoring tools.
