Holland & Barrett has been recognised by the Financial Times as one of the UK’s Best Employers 2026, reflecting continued investment in colleague experience and engagement across the business.

In the 2026 ranking, Holland & Barrett ranked 370th, an improvement of 40 places compared with 2025. The result reflects ongoing progress as the business continues to evolve and invest in how it supports colleagues across its stores, support offices and distribution and packaging centres.

The ranking spans a wide range of sectors, including several prominent retailers such as John Lewis, Ocado, and IKEA.

Maria Anderson, Chief People Officer at Holland & Barrett, said:

“We’re incredibly proud to be recognised by the Financial Times as one of the UK’s Best Employers for the second consecutive year.

What makes this especially meaningful is that it’s based on colleague feedback. It reflects the progress we’ve made to create a high-performing, wellness focused and purpose-led culture where our people feel valued, supported and empowered to do their best work. This external recognition aligns with the feedback from our colleagues in our own engagement surveys."

The UK’s Best Employers list is compiled by the Financial Times in partnership with Statista and is based on an independent survey of employees across the UK. Respondents are asked to assess their own employer as well as others in their sector, with recommendations from employees carrying the greatest weight in the final results.

Over the past year, Holland & Barrett has continued to focus on strengthening the day-to-day experience of working in the business, including how colleagues are supported, developed and engaged as the organisation undergoes wider transformation.

Holland & Barrett employs over 8,000 colleagues across the UK and Ireland, spanning retail, support offices, manufacturing, distribution and packaging operations. Supporting a positive and inclusive colleague experience remains a priority as the business evolves from a high street retailer to a lifelong wellness partner, supporting customers on their health and wellness journey.
