Holland & Barrett, the leading health and wellness retailer, has launched products with ‘Blue Hat’ accreditation in China across a new range of Functional Food, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s international expansion.
In China, Functional Food is registered by the China Market supervision and administration department to use the “Blue Hat” logo. This official certification signals that the product meets stringent quality and regulation requirements for Functional Foods, often referred to as ‘Blue Hat’ products.

With this certification, Holland and Barrett joins a select group of international wellness brands authorised to sell officially approved Functional Food products in China, reinforcing its mission to make health and wellness a way of life for everyone.
The first Blue Hat product, Fish Oil Softgels, launched in July 2025 on Tmall and Zhongshushidai supermarket, and will be launched across key online and offline platforms including Douyin, Red note, WeChat, and select premium retailers such as Ole, CitySuper and Costco. The wider range will roll out progressively in 2025 and early 2026.
