Europe’s leading health and wellness retailer Holland & Barrett is launching a first of its kind store within the Jervis Shopping Centre in Dublin’s busy north city shopping district as part of its continued investment in the Irish market.
Demonstrating its commitment to the Irish market, Holland & Barrett has invested €7 million into the Republic of Ireland over the past two years. This has including refitting all its Irish stores and new store openings in Cork, Tullamore, and Dublin Jervis Street after customer volumes have grown year on year over the last four years. In addition to its dedicated Irish website (www.hollandandbarrett.ie), the company now operates 66 stores across the Republic. Holland & Barrett has opened 13 new stores since 2023 and created just under 70 new jobs in the past year.
The latest opening in Dublin is the brand’s first kiosk store designed to support customers on the go. The kiosk will offer cashless purchases on a range of wellness solutions, with the new format curated to showcase the top 1000 products. It is also the first H&B store in Ireland to trial digital shelf-edge labelling. The business is also trialling new delivery and stock maximisation solutions supported by a new remote storage solution.
As part of their continued investment, Holland & Barrett have also launched their new food range of over 500 products into their Irish stores, taking the lead as the first major high-street retailer to introduce 'Plant Points' on food labelling, encouraging customers to incorporate a diverse range of different plants into their diets for comprehensive well-being. ‘Plant Points’ has been designed to complement customers’ weekly grocery shop with simple, easy swaps. Crafted by H&B's expert nutritionists, chefs, and in-house specialists, new food and food supplement ingredients are packed with nutritious benefits with that support gut health, women’s health, immunity, energy and more. Strong partnerships have been cultivated with 10 new Irish artisan food suppliers, all of whom share H&B’s passion for wellness and have contributed to the diverse range of products across various categories, including Harry’s Nut Butter, Solaris, Healy’s Honey, and more. The popular Irish produced, local range makes up 5% of H&B’s total food sales in ROI.
